2 x SKÅDESPELARENS ARBETE
3-4 februari -07: Skådespelarteknik, Hudiksvall
1-4 augusti -07: Skådespelaren skissar, Norrköping
ATR Gävleborg och Hudiksvalls Teaterakademi inbjuder i samarbete med Marieborgs folkhögskola i Norrköping till två sammanhängande seminarier under 2007.
Seminariernas fokus är skådespelarkonst; dels vad som elementärt behövs av teknik och dels vad skådespelaren gör i mötet med författarens text.
Seminarierna vänder sig till alla sorters teaterintresserade och skapar också utrymme för reflekterande samtal om skilda erfarenheter.
Genom samarbetet med Marieborgs folkhögskola får vi tillgång till deras erfarenheter och lärarkontakter.
Det första seminariet i Hudiksvall leds av Jelena Kopylova, skådespelarutbildad i St Petersburg, pedagog och forskare i teaterpedagogik. Jelena talar utmärkt engelska och är numera också svensktalande. Hon hinner introducera elementära övningar dels för skådespelaren att utveckla sin inre teknik (sinnlig närvaro, föreställningsförmåga mm) och dels övningar i den yttre tekniken (talgestaltning, rörelsekoordination, tempo/rytm, ev också karaktärisering) .
Sommarseminariet 1-4 augusti på Marieborgs folkhögskola, vackert beläget strax utanför Norrköping, leds av Olov Rasch, lärare vid teaterkurserna och initiativtagare till skolans tvååriga teaterpedagogutbildning. Seminariet blir mycket praktiskt gestaltningsarbete med den s. k etydmetoden som understryker samarbetet mellan författaren (i dennes text)och skådespelaren. Seminariet betonar den inledande, skissande fasen i skådespelarens arbete med text. Sommarseminariet hålls parallellt med andra teaterseminarier och spännande möten och umgänge kommer det att bli.

The Vertical of the Role
A Method for the actor’s self-preparation

In some European countries, today the Vertical of the Role has become one of the most popular work-methods for actors in productions and laboratories. Most actors/directors/ teachers use the book, already published in 2003, as a guideline to work after, but this can be only a starting point.
The seminar gives the chance to learn this method from its creator Jurij Alschitz, and you will be part of the constant development of this method. Participants will learn not only how to create the Vertical of the Role, but, even more importantly how to act it, how to reach the so-called “vertical moment”.
On the basis of your Vertical, you will change your ordinary way of acting, which is very often based on fulfilling given situations in the play. You will learn a new freedom for the expression of your very own ideas and themes, which connects you with your personnage. You will learn to reach an independent position as Author of your role, as Artists on stage, who is prepared to work with any director on an equal basis.
The complex way from the creation of a Vertical to playing one’s own composition needs at least three weeks of intensive work. Each day will include: training, lecture and analysis, individual speaking to support the creation of the composition of one’s Vertical, presentation of the so-called story-telling, and later the presentation of the Vertical on-stage.
In the final you will have a mono-drama created by yourself, which has the potential to be developed in various directions – as monologues for auditioning, as well as for presenting it as a full stageproduction, or as basis to play the role.

Jurij Alschitz will introduce the recent developments of research at AKT- ZENT to directors, choreographers, teachers and experienced actors.
Principles of composition are well-known and connect the arts, like music, painting, and theatre. But unlike in music, painting, or drawing, in theatre we do not find – and if we do, it is quite unconscious – use of these principles. Without methodological know-how concerning composition we make our life more heavy than necessary.
If actors “play composition” instead of “situation” they gain a completely different level of speaking, acting, thinking. Not only that, life on stage will be much easier, because texts are better to learn and to understand, actors gain sovereignty, and their brain is open for more and complicated tasks.
Directors should have the methodological know-how to lead this as a process. They must train their actors in this work-method. And after all, they should be able to understand the laws of composition in order to be able to compose their performance on all levels: the composition of the play, the scene, tempo-rhythm, the themes, atmosphere, sound, images, just to name a few.
In this seminar, choreographers will find new aspects and a new approach for their work, which is naturally based on the art of composition.
As one result, acting teachers might think about is to propose the subject “composition” for the curriculum of their school or academy, because apparently there is very little knowledge amongst actors about compostion as a basis and a tool for acting.
The composition of the day will include: practical training – lesson, lecture, individual work with your colleagues, and work-presentations to be discussed and developed.

The intensive atmosphere of two parallel courses will allow fruitful exchanges. It will give you the chance to listen to the lectures of the other group. For the directors, they can witness the importance of “composition” in the practical work. If they wish they can support an actor, thereby learning about the Vertical of the Role as well. Actors will listen to the lectures for the directors about composition. In addition, they can propose themselves as actors in the seminar work of the directors. Participants will witness the progress of their colleagues, support each other, and look at the different results.
We recommend early registration, because the seminars require intensive preparation.

Nu äntligen ska det bli en regikurs på Gotland
Fredagen den 24 - Söndagen den 26 november.
Sveriges Arbetarteaterförbund anordnar en helgkurs i samarbete med Kulturoma, teaterförening på Gotland och ABF Gotland.
Vad kommer då kursen att handla om?
Vad gör egentligen en regissör?
Hur kan man se om ett utkast till manus är spelbart?
Finns det några ”verktyg” för regi?
Kom med på kursen så får du svar på frågorna och några till.
Vi kommer även att behöva några som kan agera som skådespelare och prova regiövningarna på.
Du har chans att vässa dina skådespelarfärdigheter och även utveckla dig som skådespelare.
Vid anmälan får du uppge om du vill gå regikursen eller vara skådespelare.
Alf Wikström kommer att vara våran konstnärliga ledare. Han har lång erfarenhet av regiarbete.
Alf är aktiv i Bredsjö Kulturkooperativ, teaterpedagog och fd. lärare på teaterpedagoglinjen på Hällefors folkhögskola.
Per Johansson, skådespelare och Ingela Flinta teaterpedagog kommer också att vara med på kursen och medverka i arbetet.
